Pink Jeep Tour – Sedona Arizona

If you are visiting Sedona Arizona and looking for an adventure, you might want to book a Pink Jeep Tour. Although their are other jeep tour companies in the area, Pink Jeep is the pioneer having been in this business since 1960. That makes them the gold standard for these trips.

That being said, for our Girls Getaway trip, I felt the most comfortable booking our adventure through them. Since I am a Budget Traveler, while planning our tour, I looked at prices from some secondary vendors hoping to save a few bucks on our reservation. The prices were about the same as they are on the Pink Jeep website, so I went ahead and booked directly from them. Unless you are saving money, there is no sense having a middle man to deal with for any reservation changes or issues that may come up later on.

They have several different tours and combinations that you can choose from. The Broken Arrow Tour is their most popular and fills up fast. If you are thinking about booking a Pink Jeep Tour, I would suggest you book it at least 2-3 weeks in advance to ensure you get your first choice. If you don’t reserve in advance, when you arrive in town you can go right to their office to buy your tickets. However, you will be limited to the tours and times that still have availability.

Even at 10 days out from our trip, the Broken Arrow Tour was not available for times that worked well for our tight schedule. Which tour we took wasn’t a big deal to us though, so I reserved our second choice which was Diamondback Gulch. The standard tour is 2.5 hours but you can also opt for a 4 hour combination that includes the Ancient Ruins. I decided that the 2.5 hours tour was probably just right for us.

Our tour cost for 2 was $230 including taxes and etc. It was well worth the price.

The Pink Jeep office is easy to find right in the heart of downtown Sedona. Since it was just one block from our hotel, we were able to park at the Hyatt and walk to the tour office. I was glad to hear that even though Arizona had lifted it’s pandemic mask mandates, Pink Jeep was still enforcing them for their tours. Although we wanted to have fun, we still wanted to be as safe as possible.

We were lucky to be paired with a nice family of 4 for our adventure. They were a good fit with my daughter and I. Our driver was Steve, a retired police officer from Pennsylvania. He did an excellent job navagating the rocky terrain all while providing interesting facts and information.

About 2/3 of the way through the tour, we reached a nice plateau where we were able to get out of the jeep for a while and remove our masks. This gave us a great opportunity to take photos, and enjoy the majestic mountain scenery.

Steve laughed when he heard my daughter tell me to get in front of the jeep for one of her photos and pretend like it was running me over. She’s so sassy! He expertly helped the other family set up some super fun photo shots before we all loaded back into the jeep for the remainder of our journey.

Wow. That is all I can say. This was a great way to spend part of a day in Sedona. The climb and decent on these rocky gulch roads created a wild and exciting ride. We reached elevations that gave us amazing mountain views and learned a lot of interesting facts along the way.

If you will be visiting the Sedona area, I suggest you consider a Pink Jeep tour. I am really glad that we decided to book ours. We thought it was well worth the money, a lot of fun and we always felt safe. They really are the perfect outdoor adventure.
