The 2019 Bright Walls Jackson Festival Kick Off Mural is currently underway!
The 2nd Annual Bright Walls Mural Festival is set to take place in Jackson Michigan from September 5th through the 10th. The event is run by Jackson’s Young Professionals Group and supported by many local donors. Artists began work on the Festival’s Kick Off mural this week.

According to ExperienceJackson.com Last year’s event brought 14 artists from around the world to paint amazing murals on the building walls in our renewed down town. The festival schedules daily activities like Downtown Merchant deals, Free Concerts, Kids activities, Photo contests and Meet the Artist sessions to encourage the community to participate.

Because I am lucky enough to work down town, I pass many of the walls each day on my lunch walk. I am able to watch the progress as the artists transform a bare wall into a beautiful and unique piece of art. Many of the artists use vibrant colors and create dramatic images while others choose simple messages and designs that hold true meaning for the community.
